Deposits and balances

Take part of the money up front and collect the rest around the appointment.

On the Policies tab, turn on Require deposit and set the deposit as a percentage of the price. The customer pays that percentage at checkout instead of the full amount.

Remaining balance due then decides when the rest is collected. Before the service means the balance is due ahead of the start; after the service means it is collected once the appointment is complete.
