Privacy and your data

Your own privacy controls, and your obligations to the people who book with you.

There are two sides to this, and they live in two different places.

Your own data

Settings > Privacy & data covers your personal rights: control your marketing consent, download everything we hold about you, or delete your account.

Your obligations to your customers

Settings > Compliance covers what you owe the people who book with you under POPIA: naming your Information Officer, setting how long you keep records, handling customer requests for their data, and keeping an incident register.

• Consent is recorded as a ledger. New consent is added rather than overwriting the old entry, so there is always a history of who agreed to what and when.
• Marketing sends check consent before they go out. Transactional messages about a booking someone made are not marketing.
• Erasing a customer anonymises their personal details rather than deleting the financial records you are required to keep.
